Must You Live With Your Fears?
Have you ever heard of trauma release? Do you believe it's possible, or, does it sound too good to be true? Would you invest your time and energy to face and release your deepest fears and anxieties?
The truth is, once you understand what you're doing, it's something you can do almost entirely by yourself. There are others who have experienced the same problems you do and have overcome them who are willing to help guide you. But, it must be you that initiates the healing process.
I will tell you from personal experience that trauma release is possible and there is a lot of evidence out there to support it. It does take immense amounts of humility, the ability to be vulnerable, the ability to face your shadow and the things deep down you are most uncomfortable about with yourself.
A great precedent for the trauma release process can be found in one quote from of my favorite pieces of pop-fiction, Dune, by Frank Herbert:
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me, and when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path, for where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
Just talking about your problems and traumas with a friend, family member, or licensed professional, a la therapy, can help, BUT it does NOT resolve them by itself. To resolve traumas, the key lies in identifying the sensory feelings associated and releasing through specific targeted breathing exercises. This is the path to becoming the real you, the person that exists beyond your limiting beliefs about yourself and the world around you.
The information is out there. Will you seek it out and do the work? Or, will you accept life riddled with fear and anxiety because that's just the way it is? The choice is yours.
