How Do You Frame Your Existence?

Over the past week I've been exploring a model of humanity through which I can better understand how we think and operate from an internal/external perspective.

I've noticed that there is a great disconnect today between how people see themselves and express their identities, beliefs, and opinions in the public domain vs. actual reality as-based in objective facts.

If we are to progress as a society, there is a need for universally-designed systems and tools that help diverse peoples come to the table to have nuanced conversations.

The attached infographic expresses my updated model for Representing human internal/external dynamics:

0 - Identity: the root starting point exists at the level of the individual. Humanity is the simply the sum of all the identities alive in the world.

1) Beliefs: the idea/value sets which are built upon your identity, from which you operate.

2) Perceptions: The things you observe based on your outlook and worldview.

3) Actions: The things you do and the consequences/results that occur as a by-product.

4) Reality: The aggregate of human actions in totality.

I hope this is helpful to you when framing identifying yourself and how you relate to the others and the changing global landscape.
